This 34 piece set of Antiqued Fischer Style Chess Pieces is modeled after the set played in the 1972 World Championships by USA's Bobby Fischer and the Soviet Union's Defending Champion, Boris Spassky in Reykjavík, Iceland.

Dubbed "the Match of the Century" and coming at the height of the Cold War, this match was arguably responsible for the explosive interest in chess in the United States thereafter.
